About
About GambleDragon — Independent iGaming Review Hub
GambleDragon is an independent iGaming review hub for UK players aged 18 and over. We assess online casinos so you do not have to take a marketing page at face value. Our ratings are evidence-based: every operator we cover is scored against public, verifiable sources before we publish.
How we review
We build each review from information anyone can check, not from a private testing rig. For every operator we draw on:
- Licence verification against regulator registers, including the UK Gambling Commission’s public register.
- Published terms and conditions — the operator’s own wagering, withdrawal, and bonus rules as they appear on the operator’s site.
- Published RTP figures from the game providers, where the provider makes them available.
- Public complaint data from third-party platforms such as AskGamblers, Casino.Guru, and Trustpilot.
- Publicly stated facts — payment methods, deposit and withdrawal limits, and the number of games an operator advertises.
- A Lighthouse audit of the operator’s public website for a like-for-like view of page performance.
Each rating is broken down into datapoints so you can see what sits behind the score. See our methodology for the full breakdown.
What we do not do
We want to be honest about the limits of our method:
- We do not deposit real money or play with our own funds.
- We do not run timed withdrawal tests.
- We do not submit KYC documents or open accounts.
- We do not contact operator support to measure response times.
Where a rating depends on something we cannot confirm from a public source, we say so on the page rather than guess. We would rather tell you what we could not verify than imply a test we did not run.
Who runs GambleDragon
GambleDragon is produced by the GambleDragon Editorial Team. We do not attribute reviews to invented personalities. Every page lists the last verification date, and the same published standards apply across the site.
If a fact is out of date, that is a process failure — please tell us at [email protected] and we will look into it, aiming to respond within 48 hours.
Our editorial principles
- Numbers before adjectives. “97.6% published RTP” beats “high RTP.” A figure with a named source beats a comfortable phrase.
- Cite, do not claim. Every licence number links to the regulator’s public database. Every game RTP links to the provider’s published figure where available.
- Acknowledge risk on every bonus. If a welcome offer has 35x wagering, we show you the £-by-£ maths, not the marketing percentage.
- No fake urgency. You will never see “limited time” or “expires today” on this site. Bonuses change; you can come back tomorrow.
- Affiliate disclosure on every page. We earn commission when you sign up via our tracked links. That commission does not change the rating or the ranking order.
How we are funded
We are reader-supported through affiliate commission. When you click a “Visit casino” button and register, the operator pays us a referral fee. At present we work with one affiliate partner.
That commission does not influence our scores or the order of our rankings — operators are sorted by their methodology score. We disclose this relationship because UK consumer-protection and advertising rules (and their equivalents in Ireland, Canada, New Zealand, and the Netherlands) require it, and because you deserve to know how a free site keeps the lights on.
See our full affiliate disclosure for details.
What we are not
- We are not a casino. We operate no games and hold no player funds.
- We are not a sportsbook. Same.
- We are not a tipster service. We do not predict outcomes; we evaluate operators against public evidence.
- We are not a marketing channel disguised as journalism. If you cannot tell whether a site is reviewing or advertising, it is advertising — so we disclose our affiliate links plainly.
How to use this site
- Looking for a UK casino? Start with our best UK casinos list — every operator there is scored against our published methodology.
- Curious whether a specific brand is licensed? Use the site search; if we have a deep review, it includes the licence number and links to the regulator’s public register.
- New to online casinos? Read responsible gambling first. Set your deposit limit before your first deposit, not after.
