Last updated: 1 August 2026 | Reviewed by: Tom Ashby — 11 years covering UK iGaming, licensed industry researcher (about the team). Methodology: See our full ranking methodology. Ranked on licence tier first, then payout speed, then library depth — because every operator here runs the same live studio.

Affiliate disclosure: Only Britsino, our featured partner, carries a tracked link on this page. Every other operator is coverage-only — reviewed, no partnership, no outbound link. The order was fixed on the criteria above before any commercial consideration. How we make money.

Quick answer

Live casino is the one vertical where the operator barely changes the product. Seven of the nine UK-facing licensed operators in our review index carry Evolution (GambleDragon operator index, 1 August 2026), and Evolution supplies the dealers, the studios and the tables. If you play Lightning Roulette at four different UK casinos, you are usually playing in the same studio with the same croupier.

So the differences that remain are the ones worth ranking: the licence you are playing under, how fast the site pays you out, whether the wider library gives you somewhere to go between tables, and — a specific live-casino trap — how the bonus weighting treats live play.

That last one catches people constantly. At most operators, live dealer games count 0% towards bonus wagering. Claim a welcome bonus, then sit down at a live blackjack table, and you will clear precisely nothing while your bonus expiry runs down.

★ = GambleDragon’s featured commercial partner. Payout figures are operator-stated medians to the fastest available rail, corroborated against public payout reports, not guarantees. Highbet and NetBet are excluded from this page because our index does not record Evolution coverage for them.

Britsino is the operator we hold a partnership with, and it ranks third on this page rather than first, because the ranking runs licence, then payout speed, then library — and Cosmobet and BetVictor are both faster to pay. Where Britsino leads is the part of the offer that surrounds the tables: the largest library of any UKGC licensee in our index at 2,500 titles, Evolution live alongside NetEnt, Pragmatic Play, Play’n GO and Hacksaw for the slot side, and the widest UK payment stack we track at seven methods.

The live-specific caveat we would apply to Britsino applies to almost every UK operator: its bonus game weighting penalises live dealer and table play heavily, so the welcome offer is functionally low-value if live is what you came for. That is in our full review and we are not going to bury it here. Read the full Britsino review →

The picks in detail

1. Cosmobet — fastest cash-out after a live session

UKGC · Evolution · 4.2 h · 2,400 titles · £10

The quickest operator-stated payout in our UK index and a full Evolution feed. Live sessions tend to end with a decision about whether to withdraw or keep playing, and four hours to money in your account is the strongest argument on this page for taking the first option. Welcome wagering is 35x on bonus only — but as everywhere, do not expect live play to clear it. The VIP scheme is invite-only with undisclosed terms.

2. BetVictor — the traditional table player’s choice

UKGC · Evolution · 5.0 h · 1,500 titles · £10

Trading since 1946, with a heavy Evolution live integration and a conservative slot catalogue behind it. Live chat runs 7am to midnight UK time, which matters more for live casino than for slots because table disputes are time-sensitive. Welcome wagering applies to bonus and deposit, roughly double the playthrough of a bonus-only structure.

3. Britsino — biggest library behind the tables

UKGC · Evolution · 6.0 h · 2,500 titles · £10

Covered above. The practical case: if you treat live as one part of a session rather than the whole of it, the 2,500-title catalogue with Hacksaw and Pragmatic Play gives you somewhere to go between shoes. Verification at a deposit threshold also means the cash-out after a good night is not the moment you first meet the document upload form.

4. CasinoK — Evolution under a Malta licence

MGA · Evolution · 6.8 h · 1,900 titles · £20

Same Evolution tables, materially different consumer protection. CasinoK is licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority, not the UKGC, and is not integrated with GAMSTOP — if you have self-excluded, do not deposit here. Its 40x wagering on bonus and deposit combined is the most demanding structure on this page, and the £20 minimum is double the UK norm.

5. Chanze — deepest catalogue outside the UK licence

MGA · Evolution · 7.2 h · 2,200 titles · £20 (€)

Also Malta-licensed and outside GAMSTOP, with the same caveat. Chanze pairs Evolution with the widest studio mix on this page including Yggdrasil, and offers both Trustly and Open Banking for withdrawals. Euro-denominated deposits may attract a conversion charge from your own bank.

6. Mr Green — slowest payer here, strongest controls

UKGC · Evolution · 8.4 h · 1,600 titles · £10

Mr Green is the one to consider if session length is your risk rather than payout speed. Live dealer is the format most likely to run long — there is a person in front of you and no natural stopping point — and Mr Green’s dashboard sets deposit, loss, session-time and wager limits independently, with a behaviour report across 7, 30 and 90 days. Payouts at a stated 8.4 hours are the slowest on this page.

What actually differs between live casino sites

The supplier, when there is one. Evolution runs the tables at all six operators above and publishes its studio and product range on its own site. Where a site adds a second supplier — Pragmatic Play Live is the common one — you get an alternative set of roulette and blackjack tables with different limits, which is the main reason to care about supplier count at all.

Table limits, not table count. The number of tables is close to meaningless; the useful question is whether there is a £0.50 blackjack seat and a £500 one under the same account. Limits are set per table by the supplier and surfaced in the lobby, so check before you sit rather than after.

Bonus weighting. Live dealer typically counts 0% towards wagering, table games 10% or less, slots 100%. If you intend to play live, the rational move at most operators is to decline the welcome bonus entirely and play with cash — no wagering, no maximum bet cap, no expiry clock, and withdrawals unlocked immediately. Our RTP and bonus primer works through the arithmetic.

House edge is fixed by the rules, not the room. European roulette is 2.70% on a single-zero wheel; American double-zero is 5.26% and should be avoided. Blackjack under favourable rules with correct basic strategy runs well under 1%. Live game-show formats are considerably worse than either. The dealer, the studio and the stream quality change none of that. See live blackjack, live roulette and how to play blackjack.

Live versus RNG. RNG tables are faster, cheaper to play and have identical published odds; live tables are slower, which for most players means fewer hands per hour and less money staked per hour. That is a genuine argument in live’s favour on bankroll grounds. Live dealer versus RNG covers the comparison in full.

The regulatory backdrop

The UK online sector reported £6.5bn in gross gambling yield across 32.4 million active accounts in the Gambling Commission’s industry statistics for the 2023 reporting year, with live casino a growing share of it. The 2025 online slot stake limits of £5 and £2 do not apply to live dealer tables, whose limits are supplier-set — worth knowing, because it means the strictest UK stake control does not cover the format where sessions run longest.

GAMSTOP has been mandatory for UKGC remote licensees since 31 March 2020, which is the substantive difference between the four UK-licensed entries above and the two Malta-licensed ones. Credit card gambling has been banned in Great Britain since 14 April 2020. Verify any operator on the public register before depositing.

How we ranked these casinos

Inclusion required confirmed Evolution live coverage in our operator index. Because the live product is then effectively identical across operators, the ranking runs on what is not identical: regulator quality first (UKGC above MGA, because GAMSTOP and UK dispute escalation are the real differences), then operator-stated median payout speed, then library depth behind the tables. Table counts and dealer quality are deliberately not ranking factors — they are supplier attributes, not operator ones. Commercial relationships play no part. Frequently asked questions

Which UK casinos have the best live dealer games?

Almost all of them run the same supplier. Seven of the nine UK-facing licensed operators in our index carry Evolution as of 1 August 2026, so the tables, dealers and studios are shared. The real differences are the licence you play under, how fast the site pays out, and what else is in the library. On that basis Cosmobet leads on payout speed at a stated 4.2 hours, and Britsino leads on library depth at 2,500 titles.

Do live casino games count towards a bonus?

Usually not at all. Game weighting at most UK operators counts slots at 100%, table games at 10% or less, and live dealer at 0%. That means bonus wagering does not progress while you play live. If live is your format, the rational choice at most sites is to decline the welcome offer and play with cash — no wagering requirement, no maximum bet restriction, no expiry, and withdrawals available immediately.

Are live casino games fair?

The odds are set by the physical game and the published rules, not by the stream. European roulette carries a 2.70% house edge on a single-zero wheel; blackjack under favourable rules with correct basic strategy is under 1%. Live suppliers such as Evolution operate under the licences of the operators they serve and are subject to the same regulatory testing regime. What live removes is the question of whether a random number generator is behaving — you can see the wheel.

Do UK stake limits apply to live dealer tables?

No. The online slot stake limits introduced in 2025 — £5 per spin for players aged 25 and over, £2 for those aged 18 to 24 — apply to slots only. Live table limits are set per table by the supplier and can run from under £1 to several thousand. Since live sessions also tend to run longer than slot sessions, setting your own deposit and session-time limits in the account area is the practical substitute.

What internet speed do I need for live casino?

Live tables stream video, so a stable connection matters more than a fast one. A dropped stream mid-hand is the common frustration, and the usual outcome is that your seat is released and any pending bet is settled by the table rules rather than voided. Play on wifi rather than a patchy mobile signal, and read the operator’s disconnection policy before you sit at a high-limit table.

Is live casino better than RNG tables?

Neither is better on odds — the published house edge is the same for the same game and rules. Live is slower, which usually means fewer hands per hour and less staked per hour, and that is a genuine bankroll advantage. RNG tables are faster, available at lower minimum stakes and often count more towards bonus wagering. If you are clearing a bonus, RNG. If you are playing for the experience and want the pace forced down, live.
