Last updated: 1 August 2026 | Reviewed by: Tom Ashby — 11 years covering UK iGaming, licensed industry researcher (about the team). Methodology: See our full ranking methodology. This page is ranked on the new-site safety checklist below, not on how recently a brand appeared.

Affiliate disclosure: Only Britsino, our featured partner, carries a tracked link on this page. Every other operator is coverage-only — reviewed, no partnership, no outbound link. The checklist was written before the scoring and the scoring before any commercial consideration. How we make money.

Start here: “new” is the least verifiable claim in this industry

Most pages ranking for new casino sites present a launch date as if it were a fact. It usually is not. Brands are relaunched, rebranded, migrated between white-label platforms and re-pointed at new domains constantly, and none of that appears on a public record. A site that says “launched 2026” may be a three-year-old operation on a new skin, or a genuinely new front end on a licence that has been trading since 2019.

What is verifiable is the licence. The Gambling Commission publishes every licensee and every trading name on its public register, including the date the licence was granted. That date is the closest thing to a real “new” signal you will get, and it takes about ninety seconds to check.

So this page does two things. It gives you the checklist we apply to any site we have not covered before, and it scores the operators in our index that a new-site shopper is most likely to be weighing up. We do not publish launch dates we cannot evidence.

The eight-point check before you deposit anywhere new

  1. Find the licence on the register. Search the trading name, not the company name, at gamblingcommission.gov.uk/public-register. No entry means no UK licence, whatever the footer says.
  2. Check GAMSTOP. Mandatory for UKGC remote licensees since 31 March 2020. A UK-facing site without it is not UK-licensed.
  3. Read the wagering structure, not the headline. “35x on bonus” and “35x on bonus and deposit” differ by roughly a factor of two in required playthrough. Our bonus and RTP primer works the arithmetic.
  4. Find the maximum cash-out on bonus winnings. A low cap makes a large headline bonus worthless. It is always in the promotion terms, never on the banner.
  5. Check when identity verification happens. At deposit is player-friendly. At first withdrawal only is the classic stalling pattern. See our verification guide.
  6. Check the withdrawal rails, not the deposit rails. Deposits are easy everywhere. Ask what pays you back and how fast — fastest withdrawal casinos has the comparison.
  7. Look for a named ADR provider. UKGC licensees must offer free Alternative Dispute Resolution such as IBAS after eight weeks. If the terms name nobody, that is a finding.
  8. Look for a stated payout figure that is not exactly 24 hours. In our index, 17 of the 20 Curaçao-licensed operators we track state exactly 24 hours (GambleDragon operator index, 1 August 2026). A number that round across seventeen unrelated brands is a policy default, not a measurement.

Britsino ranks first here, and because it is also the only operator on this page we earn commission from, the reasoning needs to be explicit. It does not win on speed — Cosmobet is nearly two hours quicker and we have ranked it first on every page where speed is the criterion. It wins on the checklist: a UKGC licence with GAMSTOP, identity verification triggered at a deposit threshold rather than deferred to your first withdrawal, a published maximum cash-out on bonus winnings, terms that cleared our predatory-clause screen, and the widest payment stack of any UKGC licensee in our index at seven methods (GambleDragon operator index, 1 August 2026).

The honest counterweight: Britsino’s licence number is still marked pending verification in our own review, because we have not yet completed our register lookup ourselves. We would rather publish that gap than a number we have not checked. Check it yourself before depositing. Read the full Britsino review →

The entries in detail

1. Britsino — cleanest checklist score

UKGC · 6.0 h · 2,500 games · £10

Covered above. The KYC-at-deposit design is the single most underrated item on the list: it moves the document exchange off the payout path entirely, which is where most “the new site won’t pay me” complaints actually originate. Bonus terms are mid-market — not the kindest wagering available, but published clearly with the cash-out cap visible.

2. Cosmobet — fastest payer, one transparency gap

UKGC · 4.2 h · 2,400 games · £10

The quickest stated payout in our UK index and clean 35x bonus-only wagering. The reason it is second rather than first on this particular page is the VIP scheme: invite-only with undisclosed terms. On a page about how to vet a site you do not know, an undisclosed loyalty structure is exactly the kind of thing we mark down.

3. Highbet — the newest UKGC licensee in our index

UKGC · 12.0 h · 1,300 games · £10

If “new” is genuinely what you are after among UK-regulated options, Highbet is the most recently established UKGC-licensed operator we cover, and it leans into recent slot releases — Nolimit City and Hacksaw Gaming make up a large share of its most-played titles. The costs are real: a stated 12-hour payout, the slowest UKGC figure we track apart from BoyleSports, and 40x wagering above the peer group.

4. NetBet — best bonus terms of the group

UKGC · 5.6 h · 1,100 games · £10

30x on bonus only is the lowest multiplier in our UK set, and the payment spread — PayPal, Skrill, Neteller, Trustly, Paysafecard — is the widest wallet coverage we track. Held back by the smallest library here at 1,100 titles and slower live chat at evening peak.

5. CasinoK — new to many UK players, but Malta-licensed

MGA · 6.8 h · 1,900 games · £20

CasinoK appears in a lot of “new UK casino” listings. It is licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority, not the UKGC, and it is not integrated with GAMSTOP — if you have self-excluded, do not deposit here. Its 40x wagering on bonus and deposit combined is the most demanding structure on this page, and the £20 minimum is double the UK norm.

6. Chanze — strong studio mix, same licence caveat

MGA · 7.2 h · 2,200 games · £20 (€)

Also Malta-licensed and outside GAMSTOP. The provider set is the best here — Pragmatic Play, Play’n GO, NetEnt, Evolution and Yggdrasil. Deposits are euro-denominated, so a sterling account may pick up a conversion charge from its own bank.

Red flags on genuinely new sites

No licence number anywhere. Or a number that does not resolve on the register. This is the only true disqualifier on the list.

A payout figure of exactly 24 hours. As above: seventeen of twenty offshore brands in our index quote it. It is a term of service, not a measurement.

A welcome offer far above market. In a market where the UKGC-licensed norm is 30x to 40x wagering on a two-to-three-figure bonus, an outlier offer is usually funded by a cash-out cap or a game-weighting rule you have not read yet. Be particularly careful with no-deposit promotions, which carry the strictest UK advertising scrutiny and the most restrictive small print.

No named ADR provider, or a complaints page with no timeline. UKGC licensees owe you eight weeks and then free escalation.

Mirror domains. A brand operating on several near-identical domains at once is often routing around a restriction somewhere. Treat it as a reason to check the register rather than as a convenience.

The regulatory backdrop

The UK online sector reported £6.5bn in gross gambling yield across 32.4 million active accounts in the Gambling Commission’s industry statistics for the 2023 reporting year — a large, mature and heavily contested market, which is why new brands keep appearing. Two rules give new UK entrants a floor: credit card gambling has been banned in Great Britain since 14 April 2020, and GAMSTOP integration has been mandatory for UKGC remote licensees since 31 March 2020. Stake limits introduced for online slots in 2025 — £5 per spin for players aged 25 and over and £2 for those aged 18 to 24 — apply to every UK-licensed site regardless of how new it is.

How we ranked these casinos

Scored on the eight-point checklist above, weighted towards items that are verifiable by a reader: licence tier and GAMSTOP status first, then verification timing, then wagering transparency including a published cash-out cap, then stated payout speed. Recency of launch is deliberately not a ranking factor, because we cannot evidence it. Where an operator’s own review notes a gap — including our unfinished licence-number lookup on Britsino — the entry says so. Full rubric: methodology and editorial policy.

Frequently asked questions

Are new online casinos safe to use?

A new casino is exactly as safe as its licence and its terms. Being new is not itself a risk factor; being unlicensed is. Search the trading name on the Gambling Commission’s public register, confirm GAMSTOP integration, read the wagering structure and the maximum cash-out on bonus winnings, and check that an Alternative Dispute Resolution provider is named in the terms. If all four check out, the age of the brand is close to irrelevant.

How can I tell when a casino site actually launched?

You mostly cannot, and you should be sceptical of pages that state launch dates with confidence. Brands relaunch, rebrand and migrate between platforms without any public record. The one date that is published is the licence grant date on the Gambling Commission’s register, which is the closest verifiable proxy. We do not publish launch dates we cannot evidence, which is why this page ranks on a safety checklist instead.

Do new casinos offer better bonuses?

Sometimes larger headline numbers, rarely better terms. The economics are the constraint: a new operator buying market share can afford a bigger banner figure but still has to protect it with wagering requirements, a maximum cash-out on bonus winnings, game weighting and a maximum bet during wagering. Compare the wagering structure and the cash-out cap, not the percentage. In our UK set the multipliers run from 30x on bonus only to 40x on bonus and deposit combined, which is a much bigger difference than it looks.

What is the safest way to try a site I have never used?

Deposit the minimum, complete identity verification immediately, play a small amount, and request a withdrawal before you commit anything further. A site’s real character shows up at the first payout, not at the first deposit. Use a rail that can pay you back — open banking or PayPal rather than a card refund — and set a deposit limit before you start rather than after.

Do new UK casinos have to join GAMSTOP?

Yes. Integration with GAMSTOP has been a condition of a UK Gambling Commission remote licence since 31 March 2020, with no exemption for new entrants. If a UK-facing site is not on GAMSTOP, it is not UKGC-licensed, whatever its footer claims. You can register free at gamstop.co.uk, and a single registration covers every UK-licensed operator.

Why do so many casinos state a 24-hour withdrawal time?

Because it is a policy default rather than a measurement. In our review index, 17 of the 20 Curaçao-licensed operators we track state exactly 24 hours as of 1 August 2026 — a suspiciously round consensus among unrelated brands. UK-licensed operators tend to publish figures that vary because they are describing their actual processing, with a median of 6.0 hours across the seven UKGC licensees we cover. Treat a precise, unusual number as more credible than a round one.
